Data Scientist

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Data Scientist to build strong lines of cyber defense using cutting-edge technology to support the IRS Network. This is a hybrid position located in Lanham, MD (on site 2-3 times per month). The candidate will need to be well versed in Data Modeling, Machine Learning, AI, Python, and SQL. The selected candidate needs to be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance.

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with cyber security teams to develop/employ machine learning techniques and algorithms to support cyber security, including detection of anomalous and malicious cyber activity
• Lead and devise innovative methods and techniques to leverage AI/ML/Neural Networks etc to improve the detection of malicious activity

Qualifications:

• Degree, Technical Training, or Certifications
• 8+ years of experience
• Proficiency in machine learning algorithms
• Neural networks and deep learning
• Proficiency in data modeling and visualizations
• Proficiency in one or more languages such as Python, R, and SQL
• Experience in Cyber Security a huge plus
• Must be able to obtain and maintain an IRS Public Trust Clearance

Compensation:

• $165,000 - $185,000 *depending on experience*
• Health, Dental, Vision, PTO, 401K, Holidays, Sick Leave if required by Law
