CGI Federal has an exciting opportunity for an Advanced Network Protection (ANP) Engineer focused on Palo Alto. The ANP Engineer will support designing, implementing, and maintaining security solutions to protect agency networks and data. This role involves working closely with Agency teams to ensure robust security measures are in place and effectively managed.

This position is located in our Fairfax, VA office; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable. You will be required to be in our Fairfax, VA office two days per week.



Fonctions et responsabilits:

Design and Implement Security Solutions: Develop and deploy Palo Alto Access solutions to secure internet traffic and private application access
Network Configuration and Management: Configure and manage network security components including proxies, firewalls, and VPNs in alignment with Palo Alto technologies
Policy Migration and Management: Migrate existing security policies from on-premises solutions to cloud-based Palo Alto services, ensuring seamless integration with existing IT infrastructure
Troubleshooting and Support: Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues related to network security using tools like Wireshark or TCPDump. Provide support for incident response activities.
Security Monitoring: Implement monitoring solutions to detect and respond to potential security threats. Optimize system performance through regular reviews.
Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams including Network Engineers, Security Analysts, and Developers to integrate security solutions into the overall IT infrastructure
Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, procedures, troubleshooting guides, and best practices

Due to the nature of the contract requirements, US citizenship and successful passing of CGI background check is required prior to beginning work. In addition, candidates must have ability to obtain and maintain a DHS EOD/Public Trust clearance
Ideal candidate can mentor teammates, teach and grow to support growing customer requirements
Must have great communication and documentation skills
Bachelors degree required
3+ years of experience in network security engineering or a similar role
2+ years of experience configuring Palo Alto
Relevant certifications such as Palo Alto Network Security Generalist
Certifications in network security (e.g., CISSP, CCNA Security) are beneficial
Proficient in configuring and managing Palo Alto products. Experience with network protocols, LAN/WAN configurations, and cloud platforms such as Azure
Strong understanding of zero trust architecture principles and experience with security tools like Secure Web Gateway (SWG), CASB, DLP, etc.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues effectively
Strong verbal and written communication skills to convey technical information clearly to non-technical stakeholders

Desired qualifications/non-essential skills required:
Ability to work with Engineering and Operations Teams
Understanding of Advanced Network Protection concepts; a general understanding and/or experience in Managed Service(s)
Technical/development background
Experience with CISAs Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation (CDM) program

CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and license and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $125,500.00 - $271,800.00.
