Position Title: Test and Evaluation Engineer
Location: Patuxent River, MD
Clearance: Active Top Secret (Required)
Salary Range: $140,000 - $200,000

As a Test and Evaluation Engineer, you will play a critical role in validating system performance, ensuring reliability, and supporting acquisition efforts across the full lifecycle of programs. What You’ll Do
• Program Documentation: Develop and maintain key program documentation, including the Requirements Traceability Verification Matrix (RTVM) Security Plan for Test(SPT), Test and Evaluation Master Plan (TEMP), and Individual Test Plans, and Test Reports.
• Test Strategy Development: Design and present developmental and operational test strategies to leadership and stakeholders, recommending critical developmental and operational events during acquisition phases to properly evaluate system performance.
• TEMP Modifications: Develop TEMP modifications, addressing operational test strategies, critical operational issues (COIs), measures of effectiveness (MOEs), measures of suitability (MOSs), and measures of performance (MOPs).
• Data Analysis: Solve calibration system issues, perform data analysis, and develop/utilize data processing tools to evaluate system performance.
• Software and Hardware Testing: Provide engineering oversight for software testing and hardware testing, including Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL), electrical breadboards, and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), and anechoic chamber testing.
• Customer Collaboration: Interface with customers to understand test objectives, develop test strategies, and analyze data to meet program requirements.
• RMA Review: Evaluate Reliability, Maintainability, and Availability (RMA) parameters and specifications to ensure they are measurable, testable, and appropriate for the systems under development.
• Test Systems Maintenance: Ensure the operational readiness of test systems software and maintain databases to support testing efforts.

What You’ll Bring to the Team
Minimum Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• Experience:
◦ Recent experience (within the last 2 years) in Radar and Radio Frequency Testing for performance characterization, Antenna Pattern Analysis, and Electronic Warfare performance assessment.
◦ 10–12 years of experience in test and evaluation, including supporting department of defense capability testing.
◦ Demonstrated expertise in Agile development environments and government acquisition processes.
• Technical Skills:
◦ Knowledge of developmental test strategy development, RMA parameters, and TEMP modification.
◦ Hands-on experience with hardware/software test environments, including HiL, EMC, and anechoic chamber testing.
◦ Functional tester or related technical expertise preferred.
• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to produce concise reports and deliver presentations.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Master’s degree in a related field.
• Certification in relevant testing methodologies or engineering disciplines.
• Experience with federal acquisition programs and documented T&E training.
