Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Plan, execute, and oversee projects.
- Manage and provide strategic guidance to teams.
- Assemble and lead project teams, ensuring the right individuals are assigned and that team conflicts or challenges get resolved.
- Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members.
- Provide guidance, support, and motivation to ensure that team members perform effectively and contribute to project success.
- Oversee risk management, provide guidance in higher-level risk decision making, align risk management practices with organizational goals, and oversee risk management strategies.
- Establish communication strategies for higher-level stakeholders and senior management, manage relationships with executive-level stakeholders, and ensure strategic stakeholder management.
- Budget planning, resource allocation, and financial management.
- Accountable for ensuring that projects and assigned mission area subsets are completed successfully, on time, within budget, and meet the desired objectives.
- Provide overall guidance and direction, offering strategic guidance, expertise, and support to junior project managers.
- Assist in decision making, help resolve project-related challenges, and engage in higher-level project portfolio management.
- Oversee and maintain desired quality standards throughout project duration.
Basic Qualifications:
- 4-9 years of relevant experience.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline.
- Masters degree is equivalent to 2 years of experience.
- PhD degree is equivalent to 4 years of experience.
- Experience with project management tools such as Jira and Confluence.
- Experience with Agile methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting DoD programs.
- Bachelor's degree in IT or Engineering.
- Experience supporting IT projects.
- Active PMP certification.
- ITIL certification.
- 8570 certification.
Clearance Requirements:
- Must have an active/current Secret securityclearance.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to be in a stationary position more than 50% of the time
- Must be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnel
- Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a computer
- The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
- The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
