As an engineer on our team, you'll work with Booz Allen colleagues and the client to develop, rapidly deploy, and integrate the next generation of resilient space, ground, and user capabilities across the Space Systems Command Enterprise to deter attacks and provide critical information to our warfighters to defeat our enemies in battle. Your customer will t rus t you to not only test, analyze, evaluate, validate, and verify these systems, but also to use your ingenuity and broad knowledge of potential sources of new te chn ologies and concepts such as applicable national labs, prototypes, and products from SBIR activities and other commer cia l IR & D efforts, to identify areas requiring mitigation up front to plan, develop, mature, and on-ramp te chn ologies for use in future missions. You will support senior clients on budget ary and investment prioritizations. You will also collaborate with DoD Science and Te chn ology ( S & T ) organizations to unearth future concepts and create enterprise roadmaps to capture, analyze, and communicate te chn ology transition plans. You Have:

  • 3+ years of experience with systems engineering on large-scale space, ground, sof tware, or hardware systems, or Major Defense Acquisition Programs
  • Experience developing, deploying, and troubleshooting sof tware in a containerized environment
  • Experience writing and utilizing complex test tools, including automation
  • Experience supporting overall engineering integration of Systems Engineering and Integration efforts for the Satellite Control Network, DoD, government agencies, or commer cia l programs
  • Experience performing systems engineering in space or aerospace concepts and alternative design, architectural analysis, modeling and simulation, enterprise strategic planning, or digital engineering methodologies
  • Knowledge of Linux, C++, Python, Perl, and Java
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree


Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with cloud computing platforms such as Amazon Web Services ( AWS ) , defining networking and infrastructure deployments, and scripting in frameworks such as pytest, Cypress, or Selenium
  • Experience defining machine learning ( ML ) models to feed artifi cia l intelligence ( AI ) applications, espe cia lly in image processing
  • Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering ( MBSE ) principles and tools such as MagicDraw, Cameo, or SysML
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies and using Jira and Confluence
  • Ability to proactively find and fill gaps in emerging te chn ologies being developed by multiple 3rd parties as a sof tware integrator
  • Ability to demonstrate a dynamic work ethic and be highly motivated to contribute to the DoD mission
  • Possession of excellent interpersonal, and verbal and written communication skills
  • TS / SCI clearance
  • Master's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics
  • Security+, Network+, Kubernetes K8, or equivalent Te chn ologies Certifications

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $60,300.00 to $137,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
