Assesses proposed changes of processes, systems, and design using knowledge of engineering, production, systems, and procurement activities to determine overall effect, and coordinates recording of changes and modifications for management control. Reviews and prepares all changes requests, while following through with standard operating procedures. Develops configuration management plans. Ensures that engineering data is accurate, develops libraries to track source code, change requests, and other technical documentation. Establishes baselines and creates configuration status accounting reports. Seeks to prevent outages and limits downtime during production changes and implements initiatives to protect software assets. Performs work under general supervision. Handles moderately complex issues and problems and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff.

Responsibilities

  • Utilizes ITSM software to Review Software Change Requests (SCRs) for completion in preparation for the Configuration Control Board (CCB).
  • Prepares and provides Pre-CCB report to authorized reviewers, track review process to completion within deadlines.
  • Prepares CCB documentation and distribute to authorized approvers for review and approval.
  • Tracks approvals and documents meeting minutes.
  • Utilizes ITSM software to progress changes to next status gates after CCB approval.
  • Prepares CAB report and facilitate CAB meetings to allow briefers and authorized approvers to review and approve Request for Change (RFC) requests.
  • Provides support for expedited approvals outside of routine CAB/CCB process.
  • Provides document packages to external customers and track coordinated efforts to completion.
  • Reports to Configuration Management (CM) Team to close out related tasks once complete.
  • Communicates with technical and nontechnical individuals and stakeholders as needed.
  • Creates, maintains, and updates CHM documentation as necessary.
  • Monitors and maintains metrics for reporting.

Qualifications

  • Requires a BA and 2-4 Years of relevant experience.
  • Must achieve Security (+) certification within 6 months of start date
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Experience with Adobe Acrobat
  • Detail oriented.
  • Communication and Problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with cross-functional teams, customers, and other CHM analysts.
  • Ability to obtain/maintain a Security Clearance. Active Secret Clearance preferred.
