Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Logistics Engineer to join our team supporting a government aviation program. The successful candidate will be responsible for optimizing and managing logistics operations for aviation systems, ensuring the seamless delivery of parts, supplies, and maintenance services to meet operational requirements. This role will require frequent travel (up to 50% annually) to overseas locations, supporting missions in diverse and challenging environments.

Examples of duties include but not limited to:
  • Design, implement, and optimize logistics processes to support aviation systems, including parts provisioning, equipment maintenance, and transportation.
  • Coordinate with various stakeholders including military and contractor teams to ensure the timely and efficient delivery of logistics support to aviation operations.
  • Assess and analyze supply chain operations to identify areas for improvement in terms of cost, efficiency, and system performance.
  • Develop and maintain logistics documentation and reports to track inventory, supply chain performance, and resource allocation.
  • Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to ensure that aviation platforms are properly supported and can maintain high operational readiness.
  • Provide technical expertise in logistics planning, including the identification and resolution of issues related to spare parts, tools, and equipment.
  • Support OCONUS missions by assisting with logistics coordination in deployed locations, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and policies.
  • Ensure logistics systems are compliant with government standards and best practices for aviation operations, including safety, sustainability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Act as a liaison between government officials, contractors, and international partners to facilitate logistics operations in challenging OCONUS environments.
**This position is contingent upon award of contract**

Qualifications

Required Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • Experience with OCONUS logistics support and understanding of the complexities of working in deployed environments including movement of operations from location to location.
  • Strong understanding of aviation logistics operations, including parts management, maintenance coordination, and supply chain optimization.
  • Ability to analyze complex logistics challenges and develop practical, innovative solutions.
  • Knowledge of government regulations and procedures related to logistics, transportation, and aviation.
  • Proven experience in cross-functional collaboration and working with diverse teams (military, contractors, government agencies, etc.).
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be willing to travel up to 50% OCONUS and be adaptable to varying environments and conditions.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working on government aviation programs or with defense contractors.
  • Familiarity with DoD or other government logistics systems, tools, and software.
  • Previous experience with OCONUS logistics support for military or aviation operations is highly preferred.
SECURITY CLEARANCE: This Position requires an Active TS/SCI and a Poly, US Citizenship is required to hold this clearance.

Target Salary Range

$104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
