Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking a Mobility Engineer Lead to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The ideal candidate will support the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). This individual is responsible for supporting the enterprise mobility environment. The Mobility Engineer Lead will act as the technical leader with expertise in BlackBerry UEM, Microsoft Intune, iOS and Android platforms, and Microsoft Teams. The ideal candidate will provide strategic direction, manage a team of mobility engineers, and ensure the secure, efficient operation of our mobility infrastructure to meet business needs.

Day to Day Work Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of mobility engineers, providing mentorship, technical guidance, and performance management.
• Act as the primary point of contact for mobility-related projects, coordinating with IT leadership, cross-functional teams, and vendors.
• Develop and implement mobility strategies that align with organizational objectives.
• Oversee the configuration, deployment, and maintenance of BlackBerry UEM and Microsoft Intune platforms.
• Ensure optimal performance and security of mobile devices, including iOS and Android platforms.
• Lead initiatives to streamline and automate device enrollment, app deployment, and policy enforcement.
• Manage Microsoft Teams configurations and integrations to enhance enterprise communication and collaboration.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Teams functionality across devices.
• Establish and maintain security policies for mobile devices and collaboration tools.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA) and internal security standards.
• Monitor and respond to security threats or vulnerabilities, implementing proactive measures.
• Plan, execute, and oversee mobility-related projects, including upgrades, migrations, and new technology rollouts.
• Develop detailed project timelines, budgets, and resource plans.
• Create comprehensive documentation for mobility solutions, including architecture diagrams, policies, and procedures.
• Provide training and support to end-users and team members on mobility tools and best practices.
• Stay updated on the latest trends and advancements in enterprise mobility, collaboration tools, and mobile security.
• Identify opportunities to enhance mobility services, reduce costs, and improve user experience.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor degree and 5 years' experience or Associate degree and 7 years' experience or HS diploma/equivalent and 9 years' experience.
• U.S. Citizenship required; Must have the ability to obtain a DHS Entrance on Duty (EOD) clearance.
• ITIL Foundation Certification or able to obtain certification within 30 days of hire.
• Experience managing enterprise mobility platforms, with a focus on BlackBerry UEM and Microsoft Intune.
• In-depth experience with iOS device management and configuration in a corporate environment.
• Proven expertise in administering and optimizing Microsoft Teams.
• Demonstrated experience leading technical teams or projects.
• Strong understanding of MDM/EMM technologies and mobile device ecosystems (iOS, Android).
• Expertise in mobile security, conditional access, and compliance policy management.
• Familiarity with scripting languages such as PowerShell for automation.

Preferred Qualifications:

• BlackBerry Certified UEM Professional.
• Microsoft Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate.
• Microsoft 365 Certified: Teams Administrator Associate.
• Ability to manage, motivate, and develop a team of engineers.
• Strong organizational, communication, and project management skills.
• Adept at problem-solving and decision-making in high-pressure situations.

Target Salary Range

$80,000 - $128,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
