The Industrial Security Specialist will be supporting the department’s overall security program to include processing and maintenance of employee’s security clearances and other required forms by the COMMAND/Agency to ensure access requirement is met.
Responsibilities:
• Tracks and review security clearance investigations, including monitoring Defense Information System for Security (DISS), National Background Investigation Services (NBIS) and investigations processing (eAPP) administration and to report and monitor foreign travel.
• Assist with self-inspection to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Other duties as assigned.

• Active Secret Security Clearance with 2-5 years’ of experience in the security field.
• Ability to multi-task and meet critical deadlines.
• Must be able to communicate effectively.
• Developed interpersonal skills, with the ability to work both independently and in a team setting
• Knowledge and experience with utilizing DISS, NBIS and utilizing SIMS preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, SharePoint and knowledge of the 32 CFR part 117 NISPOM Rule is a plus
Physical Requirements & Work Environment:
• Physical requirements may include, but are not limited to, lifting, ascending and descending stairs, climbing, extended sitting or standing, to various degrees. This job will primarily be in an Office Setting.
