Dorrean is looking for a Senior Telecommunications Engineer to provide expertise in assisting with identifying or creating new avenues to address national security technology risks. The Senior Telecommunications Engineer will provide expert analysis, consulting, data analytics, research, and advisory services on existing and emerging scientific, engineering, and technological risks, vulnerabilities, and threats critical to U.S. national security. Specific tasks and duties include but are not limited to:
• Identify and describe Telecommunications and Engineering risks, differentiating between common and unique, novel, or complex risks.
• Analyze and assess Telecommunications and Engineering risks associated with cutting edge telecommunications technology.
• Provide advice on any Telecommunications and Engineering questions related to risk and potential measures that could mitigate these risks.
• Identify potential strategies for mitigating and/or managing Telecommunications and Engineering risks.
• Clearly document and communicate analysis in written products and oral briefings.
• Identify and describe key Telecommunications and Engineering topics, trends, and their impact.
• Identify resources and other experts who can provide additional insight into topics under review or emerging technologies.
• Assist with development and execution of unique research, long-term projects, and data-driven analysis.
• Develop materials to communicate, educate, and document analytic work to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Senior Telecommunications Engineer Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering or technology-related discipline (such as Electrical Engineering, Network Engineering, Computer Science, etc.)
• Advanced degree in a Telecommunications-related discipline (such as Electrical Engineering, Network Engineering, Computer Science, etc.)
• Five to 10 years of work experience related to telecommunications network development and deployment.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct independent technical research and analysis in an area related to telecommunications and network engineering.
• Demonstrated analytic writing and communication ability.
• Active TS/SCI clearance.
