Senior Mechanical Engineer - PR 1100

The ideal candidate will provide critical technical support in the planning, integration, analysis, and risk management of weapon systems. Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in technical planning, systems integration, and verification/validation for weapon systems.
• Conduct cost and risk analysis, as well as supportability and effectiveness analyses, to ensure system readiness and performance.
• Perform engineering activities, including defining system requirements, reviewing vendor designs, and evaluating technical proposals.
• Research and develop technical solutions while performing systems functional analysis.
• Conduct trade studies, technical reviews, and support test and evaluation activities.
• Coordinate with USG agencies, prototype facilities, commercial vendors, and engineering firms to conduct comprehensive technical analyses.
• Contribute to the creation of engineering documentation and mechanical engineering analyses.
• Assist in identifying, managing, mitigating, and addressing technical and program architecture risks, including conducting interoperability analysis and risk assessments.
• Support the integration of current and evolving systems into weapon system platforms, ensuring compatibility and effective performance.
• Provide engineering support by applying mechanical engineering principles to assess the business and technical needs of Mission Partners.
• Contribute to the acquisition, development, and sustainment of weapon systems, subsystems, support systems, equipment items, or similar products

Qualifications:
Education/Certifications/Experience/Skills:

• MA/MS degree with a major in engineering with 10-14 years of directly related experience, OR, BA/BS degree with 14-16 years of directly related experience, OR, at least 15 years of directly related experience to this discipline.
• Must possess and maintain a government security clearance at the Secret Level.
• Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access), and other standard (Customer specified) applications.)
