Infinity Systems Engineering is seeking a dynamic and experienced Test Engineer to support execution of the Space Systems and Hardware Integration for Novel Space Experiments (SSHINE) program in Albuquerque, New Mexico, at Kirtland Air Force Base. The primary responsibilities of this role are developing test planning documentation for emerging space and ground technologies, integrating with customer and stakeholders to ensure proper measures of success, and executing test plans and procedures during test execution.
This position is suited for mid- to advanced-career candidates and beyond.

Primary Responsibilities
- Test Planning & Execution
- Support development of test plan/metrics/parameters and interpret analysis and results while identifying necessary changes or modifications to test and evaluation program aspects.
- Perform materials characterization, non-destructive testing, and special environmental testing to reduce the risk associated with transitioning new design solutions into application.
- Review and provide technical recommendations to program test documentation.
- Develop comprehensive test plans, metrics, and parameters for various projects
- Interpret analysis results and identify necessary modifications to test programs
- Continuously improve testing methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
- Identify and assess potential risks associated with new design solutions
- Develop and implement strategies to reduce risks during the transition of designs into practical applications
- Provide technical recommendations and suggestions for improvement
- Prepare detailed reports on test results, including data analysis and conclusions
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including design engineers and project managers
- Present test results and recommendations to stakeholders and management
- Participate in technical meetings and contribute to problem-solving discussions
- Stakeholder Management
- Serve as a test point of contact for clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
- Ensure clear and continuous communication regarding test status, changes, and risk mitigation.
- Forge positive relationships with customers, partners and employees; meet regularly with customers/stakeholders to formulate and review test plans and deliverables.
- Compliance & Quality Assurance
- Ensure compliance with DoD regulations, standards, and security requirements.
- Develop and implement quality assurance protocols and metrics.
- Ensure compliance with test schedules, budgets, and US Government requirements.
- Risk Management
- Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Monitor potential issues and adjust test plans as necessary to avoid disruptions.
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience on complex defense systems (communications systems is highly preferred)
- Experience with DoD space missions and programs
- Experience developing and executing program test plans
- Experience developing and executing program test procedures
- Experience reviewing and providing technical recommendations to program team
- Experience developing creative strategies to successfully achieve high-paced testing milestones desired
- Experience with Agile/SAFE methodologies
- Familiarity with test automation strategies
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Problem-solving and critical-thinking capabilities.
- Proficiency in modern system test software (e.g., Selenium, Cucumber, or equivalent)
- Primarily office-based, with a standard workweek of Monday to Friday, that could include support outside of normal work week hours
- May involve occasional travel to client locations, project sites, or conferences
- Professional, fast-paced, and team-oriented environment
- Requires adherence to security protocols and DoD regulations
- Ability to sit for extended periods
Work Schedule
This is a full-time position, typically working 40+ hours per week. Some travel may be required to client locations, project sites, or conferences.
Education/Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM), Information Technology, computer science or similar from a regionally accredited institution; Master’s degree preferred.
Clearance Requirement
Active DoD Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
