Position Description:

Are you a seasoned expert in Marine Corps information systems eager to make a significant impact? We are We are seeking a subject matter expert (SME) to provide advanced technical knowledge and strategic guidance in information systems and research and development (R&D) across command, control, communications, computers, and cyber (C5) functions. In this role, you'll tackle complex challenges, collaborate with government and contractor teams to develop and deploy cutting-edge solutions, and identify opportunities for technological advancements to enhance operational capabilities. You'll also liaise with key stakeholders to ensure alignment with operational needs, stay ahead of emerging technologies, and mentor team members. If you hold an active DoD Top Secret Clearance/SCI and have extensive recent experience with Marine Corps Command and Control (C2) information systems, including experience with communication/transport, C2 applications and workflows, cyber, and fires, this is your opportunity to lead, innovate, and drive critical operational objectives forward.

This role interacts directly with leadership, management, and end users and requires excellent technical, communication, and customer focused skills and service.

General Responsibilities:

• Serve as a primary SME for Marine Corps information systems research and development across command, control, communications, computers, and cyber (c5) functions.
• Provide advanced technical knowledge and analysis of highly C2 specialized applications and operational environment, high-level functional systems analysis design integration, documentation, training, and implementation advice on complex problems which require extensive knowledge of C2 information systems, Marine Corp networks, C2 workflows, cyber, needs, and interactions for effective implementation of enterprise and tactical solutions.
• Provide strategic guidance on the implementation and integration of C2 information technologies to enhance operational capabilities in the Marine Corps and with Joint and Coalition mission partner networks and environments.
• Apply principles, methods, and knowledge within information functional areas of expertise to customer requirements and provide advice on esoteric problems which require extensive knowledge of the subject matter.
• Design and prepare technical reports, studies, and related documentation, make charts and graphs to record results, prepare and deliver presentations, training, and briefings as required by the task order.
• Collaborate with government and contracted teams to support the development, testing, and deployment of information solutions.
• Identify opportunities for capability enhancements and recommend technology insertions to address information-related capability gaps.
• Liaise with Marine Corps and other Service information stakeholders to ensure alignment with operational needs and C5 objectives.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and advances in information capabilities relevant to Marine Corps operations.
• Support the development of requirements for new or evolving information systems and processes.
• Provide mentorship and insight to team members and adjacent staff.

Mandatory Skills/ Experience:

• Current and active DoD TS/SCI clearance.
• Extensive, recent (within 1-3 years) experience supporting Marine Corps C2 information systems operations and employing associated systems, cyber protections, and C2 processes at echelon.
• In-depth knowledge of current and emerging military C5-related technologies with the ability to align capabilities to capability gaps.
• Demonstrated success in using and/or supporting C2 information systems activities and initiatives to achieve mission objectives in a Joint and Coalition environment.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with senior military leaderships.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work collaboratively with government and contractor teams.
• Strong analytical and problem solving-skills.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50lbs. Ability to support field demonstrations and exercises to include traversing rugged terrain on foot, unloading and loading of equipment and systems under test, and riding in military tactical vehicles, ships, and air platforms. Must be able to remain in a stationary position for up to 50% of the time.

Education/ Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in relevant field with 8 to 12 years of related experience.

Preferred Skills/ Experience:

• Experience with Marine Corps C2 operations, systems, and processes.
• Experience with Marine Corps networks and communications capabilities at echelon.
• Experience with integrating C2 systems, processes, and information in a Joint and Coalition environment.
• Experience with cyber threats, policies, and procedures.
• Understanding of DoD acquisition life cycles and systems engineering processes.
• Experience with requirements and capabilities development processes (e.g., JCIDS).
• Prior senior military or civilian experience supporting USMC information systems.
• Knowledge of Marine Corps Research, Development, Test & Evaluation (RDT&E) processes.
• Experience in transitioning technologies from development to operational deployment.
• Active TS/SCI with CI Poly.
