Main Sail has an immediate opening for a Senior SAP Funds Management (FM) Consultant for a Department of Energy client. Main Sail is a Veteran-owned small business with 20+ years experience supporting Defense and Energy systems and missions.
The senior SAP Funds Management (FM) functional consultant is responsible for the analysis and configuration of SAP system to meet Business process design and application requirements related to the following aspects of FM: Budget Planning and Execution, Funds Commitment and Release, Funds Centers Management, Funds Transfer, Funds Reporting and Analysis.
Responsibilities include:
- Leading efforts to gather client's Business process requirements
- Developing detailed configuration rationales and designs, as well as building system configuration
- Implementing detailed Business process functional solutions to meet client's requirements
- Developing test strategies and managing large complex test efforts
- Creating associated documentation such as RICEFW objects, test models, scripts, etc.
- Maintaining, enhancing and/or configuring SAP processes including those that interface with other applications
- Facilitate interaction with technical and functional counterparts to ensure that solutions meet all functional requirements
- Experience with budgeting, staffing, forecasting, and work planning is a plus
- Managing a team, including mentoring and training junior team members
Mandatory Qualifications:
- Minimum 7 years of SAP ECC, S4 HANA and FM Functional experience
- Team lead experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Federal government experience
- SAP S/4 experience
- Relevant SAP certifications
Location: Remote with potential travel to client’s site in Kansas City (up to 50% during key milestones, up to 25% for rest of time).
Period of Performance: Starts late January 2025, with target MVP deployment in October 2026.
