We are seeking a skilled and experienced Engineering Technician (Mechanical/Electrical, AC&R) to join our team in Bahrain. This position involves maintaining, installing, testing, and repairing various U.S. Navy shipboard systems, with a focus on air conditioning and refrigeration (AC&R) systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive technical expertise and leadership experience in working with complex mechanical and electrical systems aboard Navy vessels.

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Engineering Technician (Mechanical/Electrical, AC&R) to join our team in Bahrain. This position involves maintaining, installing, testing, and repairing various U.S. Navy shipboard systems, with a focus on air conditioning and refrigeration (AC&R) systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive technical expertise and leadership experience in working with complex mechanical and electrical systems aboard Navy vessels.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance, installation, testing, and repair of U.S. Navy ship systems, including:
- Air conditioning and refrigeration (AC&R) systems.
- Chlorinators/brominators and programmable logic controllers.
- High-Pressure Air System, Low-Pressure Air System, and Chilled Water System.
- Electronics Cooling systems, Sonar Dome Pressurization System, and Dry Air Systems.
- Associated equipment and motor controllers.
- Lead maintenance and repair activities for the above systems, ensuring adherence to Navy standards and requirements.
- Provide hands-on technical support to ensure operational readiness and functionality of assigned systems.
- Work collaboratively with other technicians and engineers to resolve system issues and maintain optimal performance.
Minimum Requirements:
- Within the last ten (10) years, a minimum of four (4) years of full-time, hands-on technical experience in the maintenance, installation, testing, or repair of U.S. Navy ship systems listed above.
- At least two (2) years of full-time technician experience leading maintenance, installation, testing, or repair of these systems.
- Certified to work on shipboard air conditioning and refrigeration (AC&R) systems.
- Comprehensive knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems on U.S. Navy ships.
- Proficiency with programmable logic controllers and motor controllers.
- Experience with both high-pressure and low-pressure air systems and associated components.
- Must have an active secret US government clearance. Note: US citizenship is required to maintain a secret clearance.
Preferred Qualifications (not required):
- Additional certifications or advanced training related to shipboard mechanical and electrical systems.
- Familiarity with U.S. Navy maintenance protocols and standards.
- Demonstrated leadership skills in managing technical teams and complex maintenance tasks.
