Position Summary

MAG Aerospace is currently bidding on a contract to provide flight training support services for the U.S. Army Special Operations Aviation Command (USASAOC) We are seeking highly qualified Civilian Flight Medic Instructor (CFMI) to support USASOAC's 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (160th SOAR) and the Special Operations Aviation Training Battalion (SOATB).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Duties include, but not limited to :
  • Provide academic instruction and coaching for skills specific to Special Operations Aviation medical support, which includes flight and academic instruction for qualification as Basic Mission Qualified Medical Crewmembers in Special Operations helicopters.
  • Provide instruction on tasks including ventilator management, analgesia protocol, damage control resuscitation, and casualty triage.
  • Provide flight medic instruction to students on topics within the scope of the Special Operations Aviation Medical Indoctrination Course (SOAMIC) curriculum.
  • Provide instruction to the SOAMIC Student Medics and Medical Officers that enables them to meet the Special Operations Aviation (SOA) Basic Mission Trainee (BMT) standard, as set forth in the Regimental Training Standard Operating procedures (RTSOP) and applicable policy. Government instructors will certify the BMT proficiency of all Student Medics at the end of the course.
  • Provide Special Operations Flight Medic (SOFM) refresher tests and evaluations.
  • Provide new equipment training (NET) on any equipment related to casualty evacuations (CASEVAC) missions or other SOFM related equipment. The Contractor shall augment SOATB Medical Specialists during First Responder Training and all range and training operations, which includes advanced training.


Requirements

Minimum Requirements

  • National Registry Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic qualified.
  • Flight Paramedic-Certified.
  • Minimum of two years experience as a Flight Medic.
  • Army Instructor Training Course qualified (AITC) or equivalent.
  • SECRET Clearance

The projected compensation range for this position is $70000 to $130000 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of MAG's total compensation package for employees.
