Position Summary

MAG Aerospace is currently bidding on a contract to provide flight training support services for the U.S. Army Special Operations Aviation Command (USASAOC) We are seeking highly qualified Range Facility Manager to support USASOAC's 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (160th SOAR) and the Special Operations Aviation Training Battalion (SOATB).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Monitor daily operations and training schedules of the unit and ensure all range facilities are setup and prepared for the units scheduled tasks.
  • Conduct an opening and closing inspection of all facilities on the range to ensure proper usage and clean-up. The Contractor shall recommend specific tasking needs to SOATB and 160 th SOAR to accomplish Range maintenance tasks, as well as recommend all new range requirements and upgrades.
  • Perform daily and periodic minor maintenance of training facilities and associated property within the scope of this effort. The Contractor shall identify to the Regiment S4, all requirements for additional support required to maintain the buildings and associated property.
  • Assist Range Control in maintenance, monitoring and completion of general carpentry, masonry, welding, and basic electrical wiring of Regiment ranges.
  • Ensure existing facilities, grounds, lighting, enclosures, fences, gates, alarms and ancillary equipment for three separate range facilities are maintained to the Government's standards and identify requirements for additional support. The Contractor shall provide and coordinate general maintenance and supply support, as required for the ranges.
  • Maintain accurate hand receipts and the following: key and lock control; land management support; maintenance of vehicles; maintenance of building and grounds, suggested design, construction, and repair of facilities. The Contractor shall assist with testing and fielding of associated equipment. The Contractor shall provide input regarding revisions and recommendations for the development of Programs of Instruction (POI), standardization, visual aids, and Range SOP's.


Requirements

Minimum Requirements

  • Possess strong organizational skills and ability to work independently with little or no supervision;
  • Must possess a valid, unencumbered state driver's license. Must obtain/maintain vehicle operator license
    and/or applicable certifications to operate military vehicles and operate such vehicles at Government's
    discretion. Must be able to operate vehicles, to include 1-ton pickup truck, 5K forklift and light duty front
    end loaders (Bobcat).
  • Possess a working knowledge of computer applications (Microsoft Office);
  • Possess a working knowledge of DOD policies in order to facilitate the proper accountability and storage of
    small arms and ammunition;
  • Minimum of four (4) years SOF experience and have extensive knowledge of the requirements needed to
    provide required logistical range support for training.
  • Must maintain range certification with Range Control at Fort Campbell, KY.
  • Possess general construction experience in carpentry, masonry, welding, and electrical wiring.

The projected compensation range for this position is $70000 to $130000 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of MAG's total compensation package for employees.
