Command Post Technologies, Inc. (CPT) is seeking a Network Engineer to join our team in Patuxent River, Maryland.

In this position, you will be responsible for assignments that are broad in nature, requiring originality and innovation to determine how to accomplish tasks. The ideal candidate will have a broad range of experience and the ability to operate with appreciable latitude in developing methodology and presenting solutions to problems.

Requirements

Primary Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and evaluate network systems and communication.

• Review and contribute to network design diagrams.

• Perform system administration duties as required.

• Troubleshoot the complex network issues involving various factors.

• Conduct network architecture design, feasibility and cost studies.

• Design and implement computer and information networks, such as local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), intranets, extranets, and other data communications networks.

• Perform network modeling, analysis, and planning.

• Contribute to deliverables and performance metrics where applicable

• Other duties may include designing network and computer security measures and researching and recommending network and data communications hardware and software.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field

• 3-5 years of related experience on a broad range of complex technical task assignments.

• Extensive knowledge of Internet, computer, routers, switches, firewall, etc.

• IAT Level II Security Certification (Security + CE or GSEC or SSCP or CCNA-Security)

• Active TS/SCI clearance

• Cisco experience

Desired Qualifications:

• Help Desk ticketing experience

• SolarWinds experience

• Juniper experience
