MetroStrat has a need for an Audit Remediation Consultant with an active Secret Clearance to provide audit remediation, internal control and financial reporting support to a Department of Defense client in the Washington, DC metro area. Ideal candidates will possess or are pursuing CPA, CISA or CDFM certification.
The position is expected to be hybrid remote with approximately 20% onsite. Candidates should be comfortable with interfacing with all levels of client personnel (staff to director), possess strong MS Office skills, be an effective multitasker and maintain a proactive and positive attitude.
ALL Candidates MUST possess:
• At least 1 to 2 years of audit or audit remediation experience
• Active Secret Clearance
Position responsibilities may include:
• Developing corrective action plans in response to NFRs from financial statement audits.
• Supporting audit response efforts.
• Creating and implementing accounting policies, KPIs and SOPs.
• Supporting assessments of internal controls over financial reporting and financial systems.
• Developing PowerPoint slides to support executive-level briefings.
• Fulfilling ad hoc program management requests.
