Network Support Specialist (ITSD)

Tyto Athene is looking for a REMOTE Service Desk Support Specialist (ITSD) to join our El Segundo, CA team supporting the US Space Force's Space Systems Command, Operational Command and Control Acquisition Delta, known as Kobayashi Maru. Kobayashi Maru is responsible for continuously delivering impactful software for space operations. The program office's mission includes the development and deployment of software for space defense, space domain awareness, and enabling data services.

Responsibilities:

* Provide first level contact and convey resolutions to customer issues.
* Properly escalate unresolved queries to the next level of support.
* Track, route and redirect problems to correct resources.
* Update customer data and produce activity reports.
* Walk customers through problem solving process.

Required:

* 8 or more years of professional experience performing IT Network Eng (ITSD) support.
* Technical JIRA and Confluence support experience.
* Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Software Engineering, STEM or IT from an accredited institution
* Active IAT Level II certification. (SecPlus+CE, GICSP, CCNA Security, GSEC, CND or SSCP)
* Experience in the following:

* Storage - Nimble (iSCSI/RDM, VMFS), Minio
* Windows Server, Windows, Red Hat
* ADDS, DNS, ADCS, ADFS/Keycloak(SAML and OIDC), Remote Desktop Services (Gateway, Session Broker, Session Host, License Manager), Key Management Services (KMS), SCCM/MCM
* Azure - AAD/EID, ExpressRoute/VPN GW, HCI/Local, AKS
* VMWare - NSX, vSphere, Tanzu (K8s, Harbor, ArgoCD)
* Network - NSX: Load balancing/Server Pools/DPG/Segments, Cisco: Firewall (ASA/Palo Alto), Switches, VPN
* Database - WID, SQL Server, Postgres
* High Availability - Windows Failover Clustering (SOFS, File (NFS), OpenSSH/SFTP), RHEL etc.
* PowerShell, DSC, PowerCLI (VMWare), bash/shell and python
* Some travel will be required.
* Provide support during Pacific Standard Time (PST)

Clearance: US Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance

Compensation:
• Compensation is unique to each candidate and relative to the skills and experience they bring to the position. The salary range for this position is typically $70K-$90K. This does not guarantee a specific salary as compensation is based upon multiple factors such as education, experience, certifications, and other requirements, and may fall outside of the above-stated range.
