Responsibilities
MTSI is seeking an experienced Systems Administrator to support a digital transformation initiative with our AFRL customer in Dayton OH. You will perform discovery on existing infrastructure, systems, applications and requirements, and then translate that back and advise system engineers on integration into our on-premise solution. Additionally, you will support setup, maintenance, administration and troubleshooting of software and systems, conduct security administration and access control, and integration between systems. Individuals best suited for this role should have a strong aptitude for problem solving and the ability to adapt to sudden changes in tasking. Ideally this candidate would possess a wide range of experience with systems installation, configuration, and administration.

Additionally, you will support setup, maintenance, administration and troubleshooting of software and systems, conduct security administration and access control, and integration between systems. Ideally this candidate would possess a wide range of experience with systems installation, configuration, and administration.
Duties to be independently executed include but are not limited to:
- Will be responsible for hardware, software, and network troubleshooting.
- Configure and maintain Windows Active Directory.
- Patch and update various systems and software with enterprise tools.
- Work with leadership and teammates to develop and/or maintain systems documentation in support of system builds, application installs and other operations procedures.
- Assist with security audits and work with staff to remediate any and all security findings with supported systems and applications.
- Configure and monitor backups in accordance with applicable regulations, policies, and guidance.
- Work with cross-functional IT Teams to ensure effective execution of services.
- Provide tiered support for applications and services residing both in cloud and on premise.
- Perform backups for various systems, applications, and services.
- Assist in pre-install tasking like scoping, sizing, planning, networking, etc. for potential new applications and services.
- Support integration efforts between applications and services (APIs, Data File Transfer, etc.)
- Develop application/service training, as needed, for users.
- Maintain documentation for support, usage, and compliance for applications/services.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- 6 years of experience, 4 of which should be above the tier 1 (help desk) level. Experience may be substituted for bachelor's degree in related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with DoD networks.
- Must have a DoDM 8140 (Formally 8570) certifications meeting intermediate or better requirements in Systems Administration (i.e., Cloud+ or GICSP or SSCP or Security+ or GSEC)
- Must have experience with configuring Windows Active Directory, Group Policies and DISA STIG's.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with planning, implementing, administering, and securing network infrastructure including network security appliances, routers, managed switches, servers, workstations, peripherals, cabling, and other equipment preferred.
- Experience with Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops preferred.
- Experience with Nutanix AHV preferred.
- Experience with RHEL 8 in a Windows domain desired.
- Experience with Citrix Universal Hybrid-Multi Cloud (UHMC) Gateways desired.
- Experience with Big Fix Lifecycle and Compliance desired.
- Experience with Hycu desired.
- Experience with Everfox Trusted Thin Client, or other Cross-Domain Solutions desired.
