The position is located in Tamuning, Guam.
Primary responsibilities will focus on maintaining computer systems, installing software patches, diagnosing and repairing common computer problems, monitoring internal networks, repairing server errors, and providing basic technical support for system users. Responsibilities include:

Peraton is seeking a Technical Specialist to join our team of qualified and diverse individuals.
The position is located in Tamuning, Guam.
Primary responsibilities will focus on maintaining computer systems, installing software patches, diagnosing and repairing common computer problems, monitoring internal networks, repairing server errors, and providing basic technical support for system users. Responsibilities include:
Day to Day Work Responsibilities:
- Provide basic technical support for application, hardware and software issues.
- Perform basic maintenance on printers and scanners
- Identify and troubleshoot problems
- Maintain office hardware and software
- Manage laptop/desktop setup and configuration including installing software applications
- Ensure security updates, patches and firmware are installed, configured, regularly updated and working on various devices.
- Coach end-users through common problems.
- Complete batch operations tasks
- Perform and document application functional testing
- Assist in preparation of deliverables such as system, training and operations documentation.
Basic Qualfications:
- Bachelors degree and 2 years of experience or a Masters degree and 0 years of experience or a high school diploma and 6 years of experience.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to pass an FBI fingerprint check, National Agency Check, and background screening.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and maintaining computer systems, including hardware, software, and operating systems.
- Familiarity with system architecture, firmware, and peripheral integration.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, VPN).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a customer-focused approach.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently manage tasks.
- Prior knowledge of data storage and data recovery
- Strong time and task management skills
- Child Support business knowledge
- Experience working with multiple team members
- Experience with Jira
- Java coding experience
Target Salary Range
$51,000 - $82,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
