Operations Research, Modeling, and Simulation Analyst
The Opportunity:
As an operations analyst, you're passionate about exploring the root cause of an issue and then analyzing, reporting, and developing recommendations for a creative solution. We need an experienced research analyst like you to help us solve complex problems for our clients. On our Enterprise Operations Research team, you'll evaluate data assessment strategies such as sampling, statistical analysis, computer simulation, or flow processing to deliver solutions.
You won't go at it alone ; you'll guide a team to c ond uct research, prepare graphs and charts, and analyze and interpret programmatic or cost data such as data sampling, optimization models, and what-if analysis. Once documented, you'll develop briefings to present results, collaborate with stakeholders, and hold various program meetings to improve program efficiency.
In this role, you'll use your passion for analytics and statistics to devise modeling and measuring te chn iques utilizing mathematics, statistical methods, engineering methods, operational mathematics te chn iques such as linear programming, computer simulation, and other principles and laws of scientific and economic disciplines.
Use your operations research knowledge to develop te chn ologies and concepts that advance modeling and simulation for the DoD.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $67,700.00 to $154,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. You Have:
- Experience gathering modeling requirements from stakeholders
- Experience preparing reports of modeling approach and results
- Experience briefing modeling results to stakeholders
- TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
- Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience c ond ucting analyses of management and operational problems using Operations Research te chn iques, Master's degree and 3+ years of experience c ond ucting analyses of management and operational problems using Operations Research te chn iques, or Doctorate degree and 1+ years of experience c ond ucting analyses of management and operational problems using Operations Research te chn iques
Nice If You Have:
- Experience performing validation and testing of models to ensure adequacy or determine the need for reformulation
- Experience developing training materials in Operations Research te chn iques such as optimization and computer simulation
