Product Repair / Mod Technician C

Contract Position

$35.89-$43.93/Hour

Responsibilities:

• Assemble, disassemble, and modify aerospace vehicle systems by replacing or upgrading components to correct failures or implement changes.
• Troubleshoot complex pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems to identify faults and repair defective components.
• Perform system validation, verification testing, and inspection to ensure flight-worthiness and regulatory compliance.
• Configure aerospace vehicles and bench test equipment for maintenance and repair operations.
• Document procedures, modifications, and test results, ensuring adherence to contractual and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee assembly, disassembly, and training processes while working under general direction.

Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma or GED with 4+ years of relevant work experience.
• Experience:
  • 3+ years of experience working from heights with fall protection equipment (weight limitations of 225 lbs or lower).
  • 3+ years of experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications.
  • 3+ years of experience detecting hazardous conditions and ensuring workplace safety.
  • 3+ years of experience with repair, maintenance, and retrofit processes.
• Clearance: Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance.
• Certifications: Must pass and maintain qualification for Ground Operations Personnel (GOP) and air respirator medical physicals.
• Preferred Qualifications:
  
  • Knowledge of live aircraft operations, including pneumatic, hydraulic, structural, electrical, and propulsion systems.
  • 3+ years of experience with C-17 platforms and familiarity with USAF Technical Orders and C-17 blueprints.
  • Multi-system operations, maintenance, and repair experience.
  • Ability to work safely within complex schedules while maintaining high-quality standards.
