JTAC Systems Operator is part of a team supporting the Distributed Mission Operations Center (DMOC) Kirkland Air Force base in Albuquerque, New Mexico with responsibility for the translation of operational JTAC training requirements into exercise design, build and execution and will support requirements definition for Virtual and Constructive simulations, scenario generation tools, mission planning tools, interactive system requirements, and exercise collaboration tools.

Our JTAC Systems Operator will:
  • Work with system engineers to plan, coordinate support for, and execute system integration testing and will operate selected constructive simulators, within the DMOC, to support site/system integration and Virtual Flag/other exercise scenario executions.
  • Expect to cover all JTAC mission areas with regards to exercise planning, development and execution to support warfighter training requirements across the joint services and coalition partners.
  • Interface with other military SMEs, from other weapons systems, to form a theater level exercise that challenges the missions facing our DoD today and in the future.

Responsibilities

  • Designs and implements simulation solutions for company modeling applications.
  • Analyzes test results to configure model parameters and materials.
  • Identifies development problems and provides technical solutions backed by analysis.
  • Develops product documentation for designs and test procedures.
  • Generates and maintains diagrams for simulation hardware.
  • Develops engineering calculation programs to support simulations.
  • Performs work under minimal supervision.
  • Handles complex issues and problems and refers only the most complex issues to higher-level staff.
  • Typically requires BA and 5-7 years as a JTAC or same working in an USAF ASOC.

Qualifications

  • BA or 5 plus years as a JTAC/ASOC controller.
  • Active Secret clearance.

Desired Qualifications:
  • Downrange experience will be extremely beneficial in understanding how operational and tactical C2 interfaces with the weapons systems of each service and their roles and responsibilities within each of the various theaters of operations.
  • The candidate will be best served by having a grasp of current threat replications within the modeling and simulation environment and having an awareness of simulator limitations with regard to system capabilities.
