Cleared VMWare and AWS Automation Engineer

Committed to providing rewarding career opportunities for military veterans and maintaining a "no jerks " policy, they are seeking a TS/SCI Cleared VMWare and AWS Automation Engineer to join their dynamic team in Richardson, Texas.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in designing, configuring, and managing development, software Integration & Test (I&T), system I&T, and performance test factory infrastructure environments.

Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot issues in multiple I&T environments as the first line of defense.
• Collaborate with Software Engineers to document installation instructions and adjust environments as needed.
• Create and maintain scripts using Bash, Perl, Ruby, or Python to monitor and enhance system stability and usability.

Qualifications:

• Active TS/SCI with CI Poly clearance required.
• BS/BA in STEM fields (e.g., Computer Science, IT) and 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, SAFe).
• Proficiency in Red Hat Enterprise Linux, VMware solutions, and programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, Ruby, Bash, C++, C#, Go).
• Experience troubleshooting Linux-based applications and infrastructure.
• Current CompTIA Security+ certification or ability to obtain within 90 days.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with virtualization and cloud tools (VMware, OpenStack, AWS).
• Skills in integrating COTS/FOSS software and managing multiple environment baselines (Dev, Test, Prod).
• Proficiency in infrastructure automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Chef, Puppet).
• Knowledge of DevOps tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, Vagrant).
• Strong system troubleshooting and configuration management skills.
• Experience with IA compliance (e.g., ICD-503) and IT infrastructure architecture.
• Prior system administration experience (Linux or Windows).
• Effective communication skills and proficiency in MS Office.

• Must possess an active TS/SCI with CI Poly clearance
• Must be within driving distance of Richardson, Texas, or willing to relocate to the area (Relocation Assistance Package Available)
