Responsibilities
The Mechanical Engineer candidate uses a holistic approach to assist with design, development, evaluation and modification of end-to-end systems and systems-oriented products throughout their entire life cycle. Responsibilities include:
TS/SCI W POLY
Minimum of 8 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 6 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 3 years with PhD
BS in Mechanical Engineering or similar degree/experience
Experience reviewing and assessing mechanical elements of system design
Demonstrated systems engineering skills focused on mechanical engineering aspects of requirements, system design, system test and operational implementation
Experience interpreting drawings, technical specifications, and developing test procedures
Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to interface and work cooperatively with project teams and clients.
Proficiency with MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access) and other similar engineering software applications.
Experience defining and participating in system integration test
Excellent interpersonal communication and organization skill and the ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing

Customer domain experience

Target Salary Range
$135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.

Responsibilities
The Mechanical Engineer candidate uses a holistic approach to assist with design, development, evaluation and modification of end-to-end systems and systems-oriented products throughout their entire life cycle. Responsibilities include:
- Conduct component and system level trade studies and provide risk assessments
- Performs engineering analysis on a variety of mechanical components
- Develop test strategies ad participate in validation/verification processes
- Review test plans/procedures and ensure they meet the objectives of the contractual requirements and participate in the testing process to validate requirements.
- Participate in design/major milestone reviews of mechanical components to ensure adequacy of design and applicability to the current system and traceability of requirements through compliance verification and validation.
- Ensure requirements comply with customer requirements and government standards through formal verification methods (RVTM).
- Establish and coordinate development of standards, practices, and procedures as related to the overall product development.
- Support strategic planning including roadmap and portfolio development and management
- Provide technical assessments of prototypes/new technologies.
- Prepares technical reports and makes presentations to client, both formal and informal
