Cybersecurity Analyst
As a Cybersecurity Analyst specializing in Government System Authority to Operate (ATO) support, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our government clients achieve and maintain ATO certifications for their information systems. Leveraging your expertise in cybersecurity regulations and standards, you will monitor, analyze, and respond to security incidents while aligning all activities with stringent government compliance requirements. Responsibilities
Partner with government clients to fully understand system architectures, security needs, and objectives for achieving and maintaining ATO certifications.
Conduct comprehensive security assessments and risk analyses tailored to government systems, identifying vulnerabilities and compliance gaps.
Monitor system logs, security tools, and network traffic for potential threats, ensuring compliance with government-specific cybersecurity guidelines.
Implement and maintain government-aligned security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, encryption, and access controls.
Investigate and analyze security incidents to determine root causes, impacts, and effective responses.
Develop and execute incident response plans, including containment, eradication, and recovery strategies to mitigate risks.
Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with government regulatory frameworks and security standards.
Qualifications
Clearance: Active TS/SCI clearance with CI polygraph.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
Experience:
Minimum of 6 years as a cybersecurity analyst, specializing in Government System ATO support.
Proven experience with achieving and maintaining ATO for cloud solutions from IL5 to IL6+ on NIPR, SIPR, and JWICS.
Strong knowledge of government regulatory frameworks and compliance standards, including NIST SP 800-53, RMF, ICD 503, FISMA, and FedRAMP.
Expertise in using ATO-specific assessment tools, vulnerability scanning tools, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
Skills:
In-depth understanding of network protocols, operating systems, and infrastructure components.
Proficiency in incident response, forensic analysis, and handling security incidents.
Excellent communication skills to effectively translate complex technical information for diverse audiences.
Certification: CISSP or equivalent to meet DoD 8140 requirements.
