Tyto Athene seeks a Network (DoDIN) Operations Lead to manage IT and cyber operations for the United States Southern Command (USSOUTHCOM) Cyber Information Technology Enterprise Services (SCITES) 2 program. Based in Doral, Florida, this role supports operational readiness, compliance with cybersecurity requirements, and alignment with mission-critical objectives across USSOUTHCOM's Area of Responsibility (AOR), including Central and South America and the Caribbean.
Responsibilities:
* Direct all DoDIN operations and manage joint interoperable communications systems, including LANs, WANs, and wireless infrastructure.
* Oversee Cybersecurity Service Provider (CSSP) operations to address threats, respond to incidents, and maintain operational capabilities.
* Conduct Cyber Operational Readiness Assessments (CORA) and maintain Authorization and Assessment (A&A) compliance in line with DoD regulations.
* Manage 24/7 operations to meet Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and mission requirements.
* Implement defensive cyber operations (DCO) to protect IT assets and support mission continuity.
* Use data analytics and monitoring tools to track performance, identify risks, and improve efficiency.
* Develop metrics and provide reporting to leadership, recommending improvements where necessary.
* Supervise teams, provide technical guidance, and promote knowledge sharing of IT and cybersecurity practices.
Required:
* Active or ability to maintain a Secret security clearance.
* Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Systems Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
* Minimum of 8 years in a Network Operations Center (NOC) or similar role managing large-scale IT environments.
* DOD 8570 IAT-II or higher certification.
* Expertise in network infrastructure, including routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, and load balancing.
* Knowledge of the OSI model (Layers 1-3), VLANs, TCP/IP, and tools like Wireshark and Syslog.
* Experience with DoD policies, frameworks, and cybersecurity compliance standards.
Desired:
* Master's degree in IT, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
* Experience supporting USSOUTHCOM or other combatant commands.
* Familiarity with Cisco ASA Firewalls, F5 Load Balancers, and ticketing systems like ServiceNow or Remedy.
* Understanding of Incident, Change, Problem, and Request management practices.
* Experience with multinational or interagency operations in defense environments.
