Information Systems Security Engineer

CyberCore is seeking an Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) to join our team in the Annapolis Junction, MD area. Our dynamic team delivers information security solutions that facilitate secure data flows and the detection/prevention of unauthorized behaviors, performs system security vulnerability assessments and solution development, and provides enterprise-level network, server, desktop, and application security services.

The Level 1 Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) shall possess the following capabilities:

• Participate as the primary security engineering representative on engineering teams for the design, development, implementation, evaluation, and/or integration of secure networking, computing, and enclave environments
• Apply knowledge of IA policy, procedures, and workforce structure to design, develop, and implement secure networking, computing, and enclave environments
• Interact with the customer and other project team members
• Participate as the primary security engineering representative on engineering teams for the design, development, implementation, evaluation, and/or integration of IA architectures, systems, or system components
• Support the Government in the enforcement of the design and implementation of trusted relationships among external systems and architectures
• Support security planning, assessment, risk analysis, and risk management
• Identify overall security requirements for the proper handling of Government data

Required Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, Information Security System Engineering, or a related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
• Four (4) years of additional ISSE experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
• Seven (7) years of experience as an ISSE on programs or contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
• Able to apply knowledge of IA policy, procedures, and workforce structure to design, develop, and implement secure networking, computing, and enclave environments.
• DOD 8570 compliance with IASAE Level 2 is required (must be either CISSP or CASP).
• Active TS/SCI security clearance with a current polygraph is required

The salary range for this role is $75,000 - $161,000. This range is a good faith estimate that reflects various experience levels. At CyberCore, we consider multiple factors when determining compensation, including the specific role and its responsibilities, the candidate's professional experience, geographic location, education, and relevant skills. This range is not a guarantee of salary, as final compensation may also be influenced by contractual requirements and other considerations.
