Connsci is seeking an experienced business development and general management professional to serve as our Health IT Portfolio Lead. Reporting to our Health IT Executive, you will be responsible for expanding our presence within the federal health sector, including agencies such as the Defense Health Agency, the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), and the National Institutes of Health (NIH). Your primary objective is to strengthen our portfolio of IT Services, Cyber Security, and Training solutions to address the unique challenges of healthcare environments.
 
In this role, you will work closely with the Health IT Executive, Chief Health Technology Officer, and our delivery teams to drive growth and ensure that initiatives align with company objectives. You will engage directly with clients-conducting presentations, demonstrations, and other business development activities-and will be instrumental in identifying and responding to new opportunities. Additionally, you will manage our Health portfolio, overseeing solution delivery and ensuring that our services meet client expectations and maintain a high standard of excellence.
 
Key Responsibilities:

Business Development:
• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with federal health clients, gaining deep insight into their missions, challenges, and goals to propose customized solutions.
• Develop compelling RFP/RFI responses, solution proposals, and related documentation that meet federal health requirements.
• Lead client presentations and demonstrations, clearly communicating the value and impact of Connsci's health-focused offerings.

Client Consultation:
• Provide strategic guidance on best practices to maximize value, improve patient outcomes, and enhance efficiency in complex healthcare environments.
• Collaborate with internal teams, clients, and vendors to identify business needs, recommend scalable solutions, and tailor services to meet sector-specific requirements.
• Leverage Solutions Engineers and Architects to deliver prototypes, demonstrations, and POCs that address the nuanced challenges of healthcare IT, cybersecurity, and training.

Solution Delivery & Operational Excellence:
• Develop and execute a strategic delivery roadmap aligned with corporate objectives and federal health priorities.
• Ensure reliability, scalability, and performance across all health-focused engagements, continually seeking ways to improve efficiency and client satisfaction.
• Drive innovation within the team, guiding initiatives that strengthen Connsci's competitive advantage in the health market.
• Build and nurture a high-performing IT team, fostering a culture of continuous learning, growth, and alignment with Connsci's broader technology vision and commitment to advancing health outcomes.
 
Location: This role is primarily remote (up to 90%), with occasional in-person collaboration for team meetings and client site visits within the DC Metro area.
 
Our Ideal Candidate Will Have:
• Proven ability to develop and implement technology strategies aligned with both business objectives and healthcare priorities.
• Demonstrated leadership and team-building experience, including managing cross-functional teams and influencing stakeholders.
• Exceptional communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
 
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree.
• At least 7 years of experience in selling or delivering technical services within federal health agencies or similar health-focused entities
• At least 5 years of experience in business development, including responding to RFPs/RFIs
• At least 10 years of experience leading delivery teams
• At least 5 years of experience delivering technical solutions (such as: cybersecurity, software engineering/integration, DevOps/DevSecOps, cloud migrations) within a healthcare IT environment
 
Preferred Qualifications:
• Master's degree.
• More than 7 years of experience in selling or delivering technical services within federal health agencies or similar health-focused entities.
• More than 10 years of experience leading delivery teams.
• More than 5 years delivering technical solutions in healthcare IT environments (e.g., cybersecurity, software engineering/integration, DevOps/DevSecOps, cloud migrations)
