General Maintenance Worker

The Opportunity:

NTS is seeking a General Maintenance Worker to operate groundskeeping equipment such as tractors, mowers, and brush cutters, while also monitoring power plant machinery and ensuring the smooth operation of generator systems to maintain uninterrupted power. Additionally, they will perform routine inspections, maintaining task records, and carrying out duties as directed by the Transmitter Supervisor or Site Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conducts and operates grounds keeping duties with equipment to include: tractors with mowers, brush cutters, and other types of grounds keeping equipment.
• Monitor power plant machinery and systems.
• Inspect generator equipment/system/facility and monitor equipment operation to ensure uninterrupted power to transmitters and associated ancillary equipment.
• Maintains records of assigned tasks and inspections.
• Perform painting as required
• Corrosion removal and treatment skills
• Use chemical applications for grounds keeping
• Maintain records of assigned tasks and inspections
• Operate assigned powered equipment in a safe manner
• Operate power generation emergency generators both manually and automatically
• Perform duties as the Transmitter Supervisor of Site
• Manage direct reports
