The Opportunity:
NTS is seeking a Global Transport Platform (GTP) Technical Lead who will provide expert technical support for the GTP, including troubleshooting, maintenance, and security measures to ensure optimal performance and adherence to Air Force standards. Key responsibilities will include incident management, system documentation, and training for personnel, while collaborating with other teams to integrate the GTP within the broader network. The role is full-time, requires TS/SCI clearance, and involves at least five annual travel visits to Air Force bases for on-site support.

Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Support: Provide expert-level technical support for the GTP, including troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving issues related to the JEFF-K kits and Secure Entry Point.
- Maintenance and Upgrades: Perform routine maintenance, updates, and configuration changes to the GTP components to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Incident Management: Respond to and resolve incidents and outages affecting the GTP, working closely with other teams to minimize downtime and restore service.
- Security: Implement and maintain security measures to protect the GTP and its sensitive data, adhering to Air Force security policies and standards.
- Documentation: Develop and maintain detailed documentation, including system documentation, troubleshooting guides, and operational procedures.
- Training: Provide training and guidance to other personnel on the GTP, including end-users and support staff.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with other engineers, network administrators, and security personnel to ensure seamless integration and operation of the GTP within the broader Air Force network.
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of network engineering and support experience using Cisco routers and switches
- Expert knowledge of configuring VPNs and administering firewall policies across multiple platforms: Palo Alto, Cisco, Juniper
- Experience with scripting for network configuration management
- Good knowledge of General Project Management Methodology & Tools
Education/Experience:
- Experience with RADIUS and TACACS authentication
- Good knowledge of configuring Juniper routers
- Excellent communication skills and ability to clearly document processes and standards
- AWS networking design and services
Good to have:
- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) level expertise in Enterprise Infrastructure (formerly Route/Switch), Security, Data Center or Service Provider
Additional Notes:
- Full-time position.
- Tampa, FL is the preferred location of the candidate.
- Must be a United States citizen with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance with the US Government.
- The position requires at least five (5) travel visits to various CONUS Air Force bases for on-site support and maintenance annually.
