Micromaterials Engineering Consultant
Key Role:
Support the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency ( DARPA ) in the development, management, and transition of bey ond state-of-the-art microsystems research. Work with program managers as a te chn ical consultant and subject matter expert to assess the te chn ical feasibility of emerging research in nanoscale engineering and novel use of materials in microsystems development. Identify areas where strategic investment could have transformative impact to defense te chn ologies. Work with world-class scientists in driving forward groundbreaking research efforts that seek new ways to develop microsystems that meet the performance and resilience needs of the Department of Defense.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $60,400.00 to $137,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. Basic Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience with research or manufacturing in nanoscale engineered materials or devices or materials research for complex microsystems
- Experience authoring te chn ical papers, reports, or program plans for te chn ical and non-te chn ical audiences
- Ability to commute to Arlington, VA
- Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
- Master's degree in Science or Engineering
Additional Qualifications:
- Experience in RF research, including microwave and millimeter-wave
- Experience with Department of Defense research and development programs
- Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Possession of excellent organization and client service skills
- TS / SCI clearance
- Doctorate degree in Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
