The Cybersecurity Operations Manager will provide management oversight for cybersecurity operations & intelligence functions.
This position is contingent upon award
Essential Responsibilities:
• Providing management oversight for cybersecurity operations & intelligence functions.
• Analyzing cyber intelligence reports to determine correlation and applicability to network operations on AFCENT networks.
• Analyzing network intrusion detection reports and vulnerability assessments.
• Recommending security posture changes based on security analysis and changes in threat indicators.
• Developing reports and trend analysis of internal and external security activity and incidents.
• Providing on-shift training for contractors and government personnel.
• Providing technical direction to contractors on network and systems engineering.
• Maintaining a professional image and appearance, including appropriate attire.
• Providing technical coordination and research to exploit cutting-edge technologies.
• Reviewing technical project documentation.
• Coordinating technical visits from Air Force and other military agencies and contractors.
• Analyzing Suspicious Event Reports (SER) to determine the impact and effect on AFCENT's networks and systems.
• Coordinating with intelligence activities to gain situational awareness of cyber and security threats.
• Overseeing the creation of a weekly Cyber Activity Report.
• Examining logs and information to determine if unauthorized access has occurred.
• Using vulnerability assessment reports to analyze networks and systems.
• Maintaining a standard set of published network architectural diagrams.
• Developing logic flow charts for Enterprise processes.
• Converting draft technical documentation into a standard document format.
• Assisting the Training Manager by standardizing training material.
• Reviewing trouble tickets and creating a knowledge base.
• Deliver On-call support outside normal business hours, as required
Essential Required Experience & Skills:
• TS/SCI clearance.
• Network+ or CCNA certification.
• Unix/Linux certification.
• ITIL Foundation certification.
• BS in a related field with 5 or more years of experience; or 7 or more years’ relevant experience.
• Unix/Linux and Firewall experience.
Educational Requirements:
BS in a related field with 5 or more years of experience; or 7 or more years’ relevant experience.
Travel:
• Occasional CONUS TDY travel for meetings and training
• Occasional OCONUS TDY travel to the CENTCOM AoR, including Al Udeid AB, Qatar
