The Cyber Assurance/Information Security System Management position will provide in-depth technical guidance on cybersecurity and information security to the USAFCENT AO.
This position is contingent upon award
Essential Responsibilities:
• Providing in-depth technical guidance on cybersecurity and information security to the USAFCENT AO.
• Leading and managing cybersecurity policies, research initiatives, governance frameworks, risk management strategies, and compliance activities.
• Conducting research, analyzing, documenting, and producing documentation for systems security accreditation and certification requirements.
• Analyzing, evaluating, and recommending best practices for Air Force systems accreditation and certification procedures.
• Researching, processing, and granting approvals for firewall and Bluecoat exception requests.
• Managing requests and approvals for the use of removable storage devices.
• Completing accreditation documents in line with DISA RMF guidelines. Maintaining meticulous records of the Enterprise Products List (EPL) and the accreditation library.
• Assisting in the completion of all necessary accreditation documents for AFCENT Cross Domain Solutions, ensuring compliance with DoD and USCENTCOM regulations.
• Researching, analyzing, documenting, and maintaining currency on all AFCENT, USCENTCOM, DISA, and HQ Air Force information assurance and cybersecurity policies, regulations, and guidance. Providing support in interpreting local policies.
• Diligently tracking, documenting, and reporting all security-related incidents, including but not limited to Discharge of Classified Information and Cross Domain Violations, in strict accordance with USCENTCOM/AFCENT policy.
• Coordinating and tracking Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts (IAVA), reviewing and reporting AFCENT's compliance status to USCENTCOM, and developing and implementing any necessary Plans, Objectives, Actions, and Milestones (POA&Ms).
Essential Required Experience & Skills:
• TS clearance with SCI eligibility.
• Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification.
• ITIL Foundation certification.
• B.S. in related field, and 5 or more years’ relevant Information Security; or 7 or more years’ relevant Information Security experience.
• Firewall experience.
Educational Requirements:
BS in a related field with 5 or more years of experience; or 7 or more years’ relevant experience.
Travel:
• Occasional CONUS TDY travel for meetings and training
• Occasional OCONUS TDY travel to the CENTCOM AoR, including Al Udeid AB, Qatar
