DSA is looking for Software Developer near to the Aberdeen MD area. This position is remote but must be within a commutable distance for scheduled meetings when invited. Our Software Developer MUST have a SECRET CLEARANCE and a CURRENT Security plus certification. Must be able to produce this for the interview.
The mission of our team is to provide technical support for the Software Engineering Center (SEC) Technical Services (Tech Services) Directorate Application Services Division (ASD) to support their business applications.
Requirements are:
•Active Secret Clearance
•A Bachelor's Degree, in Computer Science, Mathematics, or other Engineering or Technical discipline + 4 years of relevant experience all within the last 4 years.
•Three (3) additional years of applicable experience with appropriate certifications/relevant experience may be substituted for the degree. (Total 7 yrs experience)
•Experience providing expertise/recommendations for implementation and use of software applications and information technology system products
•Experience with technologies incluging:.NET, Cold Fusion, C#, SQL Server, Azure DevOps, Gitlab, Fortify, Code Dx, and Burp Suite
•Experience with Agile best practices and Cloud Experience.
Experience with the US Army
Key Responsibilities are:
•Design, develop and execute manual and automated tests during software and system development to ensure they are operational and effective prior to release.
•Work with developers and stakeholders to get an understanding of what the system is meant to do, its functionality and who the end-users are
•Decompose complex or large systems into smaller parts to test
•Develop and execute test plans, test cases and detailed test scripts
•Uses COTS testing software and frameworks perform automated testing and reporting
•Perform a variety of test types including unit, functional, security, regression, limit, integration, stress, performance and scalability
•Report progress, risks and bugs identified to the software development and project management teams
•Perform testing in a variety of platforms and components including networks, operating systems, applications, databases, browsers and mobile devices
•Understand, follows and promotes the values and principles in the Agile Manifesto
•Understand, follows and promotes continuous cyber security risk management
