ASRC Federal Holding Company, is looking for a qualified Sr. Network Engineer to support our CECOM SETA program at APG in MD.

We are committed to leveraging cutting-edge technology and innovative solutions to support the mission of the US Army Communications-Electronics Command (CECOM). As we continue to enhance our IT infrastructure and software capabilities, we are seeking highly skilled professionals to join our team in various key roles. Each position plays a crucial part in maintaining and advancing our ServiceNow environment, ensuring seamless operations and robust support for CECOM personnel worldwide.

Position Description: The Network Engineer Senior II will be responsible for the planning, design, development, implementation, maintenance, and support of cloud architecture and network systems within a government-designated Cloud Service Provider (CSP) environment. This role involves overseeing and executing projects related to cloud software engineering, security, and network engineering, particularly within platforms such as MS Azure, AWS, IBM, and Oracle. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in automation, documentation, and achieving Authority to Operate (ATO) using the DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Cloud Architecture and Network Engineering : Design, develop, and maintain cloud infrastructure solutions, ensuring robust and secure cloud environments.
  • Automation : Develop automation scripts for routine activities including environment instantiation, DISA STIGs application, software installation, patching, updates, backups, restores, and security scans.
  • Documentation and Training : Produce detailed system architecture, configuration, and software documentation. Provide oversight and training in the design, development, and testing of cloud solutions.
  • Security and Compliance : Evaluate operating environments and assist in obtaining ATO by producing supporting documentation and providing Information Assurance (IA) expertise.
  • Collaboration : Work with various stakeholders to ensure cloud solutions meet operational and security requirements.

Qualifications:
  • Education : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or another technical discipline is preferred.
  • Experience :
    • Minimum of 9 years in cloud architecture, cloud software engineering, cloud security, cloud systems engineering, and cloud network engineering.
    • Proven experience in deploying systems to a DoD Authorized Cloud Environment and sustaining Azure IaaS and PaaS solutions.
    • Experience with automation for cloud environments, including routine activities such as software updates and security scans.
    • Experience in producing system architecture documentation and obtaining ATO using the DoD RMF.
  • Certifications :
    • IAT Level II certification (DoD 8570.01-M compliant).
    • Platform certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional, MCSE: Cloud Platform and Infrastructure, Cisco Certified Network Professional Cloud, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Architect, or equivalent.
    • Secret security clearance.
    • TIER 5 Federal Investigative Standards compliance.
  • Technical Skills :
    • Proficiency in cloud platforms (MS Azure, AWS, IBM, Oracle).
    • Strong knowledge of network protocols, automation tools, and security best practices.
  • Soft Skills :
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
    • Ability to mentor and train junior engineers.
