Markon is seeking a Construction Inspector to support a DoD customer in a large construction management project in Misawa, Japan

USD $120,000.00 - USD $130,000.00 /Yr.

Description
Markon is seeking a Construction Inspector to support a DoD customer in a large construction management project in Misawa, Japan
Responsibilities
- Responsible for performing Quality Assurance for the project
- Ensuring the construction follows the contract documents, accepted designs, and all applicable standards/criteria and codes.
- Assists estimators and project managers in the planning and estimating of construction activities
- Must be able to write and prepare daily QA reports to document observations
- Ability to research design specifications, codes, drawings, product information, etc. to be prepared for inspections and preparatory meetings.
Qualifications
- A Bachelors degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
- at least five (5) years of experience in hospital-related construction, hospital construction compliance, specifically in the mitigation of Infection Control Risk Assessments (ICRA) for Military Hospitals.
- Active Secret Clearance
- Strong communication and working cross functionally in construction projects
