Job Title: Identity and Access Management Policy and Technical Advisor (IAM)
Location: Fort Belvoir, VA - Hybrid (One day onsite in a week)
Clearance Level: Active Secret / Top Secret
Identity and Access Management (IAM) Policy and Technical Advisor. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and overseeing IAM policies and technical strategies to ensure secure management of user identities and access controls in compliance with DoD regulations.
Job Summary:
The IAM Policy and Technical Advisor will lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of IAM policies, provide expert technical guidance on IAM solutions, and ensure compliance with federal regulations such as FISMA, NIST, and FIPS standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Policy Development and Implementation:
• Develop and maintain IAM policies, standards, and procedures that align with DoD regulations and industry best practices.
• Ensure IAM policies comply with federal regulations, including FISMA, NIST, and FIPS standards.
• Collaborate with DTIC leadership to establish governance frameworks and IAM strategies.
Technical Advisory:
• Provide expert guidance on IAM solutions and technologies, including identity lifecycle management, access controls, and authentication mechanisms.
• Recommend and evaluate IAM tools and technologies to improve security and operational efficiency.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex IAM issues and technical challenges.
Compliance and Risk Management:
• Monitor IAM processes and controls to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and policies.
• Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability analyses related to IAM systems and practices.
• Develop and deliver training and awareness programs on IAM policies and best practices.
Collaboration and Coordination:
• Collaborate with IT, cybersecurity, and compliance teams to integrate IAM solutions with other security initiatives.
• Liaise with external vendors and government agencies to stay updated on emerging IAM trends and technologies.
• Participate in audits, inspections, and assessments to ensure effective IAM practices.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in IAM policy development and technical advisory roles, preferably within a federal or DoD environment.
• Strong knowledge of IAM frameworks, standards, and technologies, including identity management systems, access controls, and authentication mechanisms.
• Familiarity with relevant regulations such as FISMA, NIST, and FIPS.
• Proven experience in developing and implementing IAM policies and procedures.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CISA) are preferred
