Job Description:
-TEKsystems is seeking an initiative-taking System Administrator to join a fast-paced team in Aurora, CO. The Systems Administrator will provide IT systems administration of a Windows-based computer information system. The ideal candidate must have a good understanding or knowledge of Windows Server internals including DNS, DHCP, AD, and server replication methods. Use troubleshooting techniques to resolve technical problems of a moderate to high scope and complexity including the integration of hardware and operating systems (OS). The candidate must have a good understanding of basic Networking and AD concepts in a technological environment. Installation and configuring of software applications requested by end-users daily. You will get to work with Cybersecurity professionals to maintain security compliance requirements.
Responsibilities:
• Operate and maintain all Production, Pre-Production, and Development systems in a Windows-based environment.
• Implement and monitor the Enterprise Windows Servers testing and installation of patches, updates, additional tools, and future versions of all software on a regular basis.
• Perform Systems lifecycle management including planning, implementation, maintenance, upgrades, consolidation, and decommissioning of enterprise hardware and software.
• Manage system requirements and derived requirements to ensure system compatibility with defined architecture and meet customer needs.
• Develop technical process documentation, including CONOPS, user guides, and test plans.
Required Skills:
• Ability to work independently and in a collaborative environment.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with a team are critical.
• Develop and maintain Technical Documentation and instructions.
• Experience with AD, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, WSUS, Exchange, VMWare, switches, and firewalls.
• Familiarity with Windows 2016/2019, PowerShell, NAS, SAN, vSphere, and ESX.
• High attention to discretion, detail, and accuracy, as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledgeable and experience in application of STIGs to secure Windows services and applications.
• Must have ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment with changing priorities.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to interact with internal and external customers and across organizational elements.
• This position requires an active DoD Clearance (Secret, Top Secret, Top Secret/SCI) or the ability to be obtain an (Interim Secret, Interim Top Secret)
• Because an active or interim DoD clearance is required, U.S. Citizenship is required
