- Construct assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, wiring harnesses, cables, etc. in single or production quantities from mechanical drawings.
- Testing and verification of the parts against the drawings.
- The Assembler shall have certifications (such as NASA) as required by the particular Technical Task Order or engineering drawings.
- Works from detail configuration drawings, wire lists, and cable rundown lists for proper inter-system equipment connections.
- Tailors and fabricates cable assemblies as required.
- Installs cable assemblies using standard written and generally accepted techniques including the provision for cable service loops and for proper cable routing.
- Uses hand tools and portable power tools, as required, to perform wire-wrap and terminal connection installation.
- Performs other related duties, as required.
- Uses general-purpose visual and audible testing instruments to verify correctness of work.
- Assists other higher-level assemblers and engineering personnel in the performance of their work, consistent with own background and training.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Must have or be able to obtain a Secret clearance.
