Defense Acquisition Support Services (DAS) is seeking a highly motivated Workforce Development & Training Specialist to join our team at Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG), MD. This role offers a unique opportunity to drive employee development initiatives, support training programs, and ensure workforce readiness to meet mission-critical objectives.

- Design, implement, and manage workforce development programs to address current and future organizational needs.
- Develop and deliver customized training programs, workshops, and seminars to enhance employee performance and skills.
- Collaborate with leadership to identify training gaps, analyze workforce data, and recommend targeted solutions.
- Oversee the creation and maintenance of training materials, standard operating procedures, and development plans.
- Coordinate and manage certifications, licensing requirements, and compliance training in accordance with DoD standards and regulations.
- Serve as the subject matter expert for workforce readiness, succession planning, and career development initiatives.
- Develop and monitor metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of training programs, reporting outcomes to leadership and recommending improvements.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development across the organization.
- Active Secret Clearance.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Education, Business Administration, or a related field. 4+ additional years may substitute degree.
- 3+ years of experience in workforce development, training program management, or organizational development roles.
- Familiarity with DoD training standards, policies, and frameworks, including compliance with applicable regulations.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse teams.
- Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and instructional design tools.
- Master's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or a related discipline.
- Prior military experience or experience supporting DoD workforce initiatives.
- Expertise in needs analysis, competency modeling, and career pathway development.
- Knowledge of Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) certification programs.
- Demonstrated success in leading organizational change and professional development strategies.
