We are seeking a Desktop Engineer / Lead Systems Administrator to join our dynamic team. This individual will play a pivotal role in developing innovative and effective solutions for our DoD customers within the IC sector.
Role Overview
As a Lead Systems Administrator, you will provide advanced technical support to protect critical information, systems, and assets. You will develop vital solutions, troubleshoot complex issues, and implement new software and hardware. This role involves monitoring and managing performance while collaborating to improve mission-critical networks. With your expertise, you will identify areas for improvement and provide innovative solutions, ensuring secure and efficient systems for our customers.
Primary Duties
- Provide Tier I and Tier II technical support, including incident and problem management.
- Manage enterprise applications and services, including SCCM, MECM, or MCM, and provide configuration and troubleshooting support for DoD365 customers.
- Build, configure, and manage physical and virtual workstations, servers, and network resources in LAN or WAN environments.
- Implement industry best practices for hardware, software, system performance, and security, ensuring compliance with DoD standards, processes, and policies.
- Manage Microsoft Directory Services, including DNS, DHCP, Group Policy Management, and Certificate Services.
- Collaborate effectively to solve complex technical challenges and develop innovative solutions.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in IT systems support, including customer services and incident/problem management.
- Experience managing enterprise applications, including SCCM/MECM, and providing DoD365 customer support.
- Proficiency in managing physical and virtual devices within LAN or WAN environments.
- Familiarity with DoD environments, standards, and policies, and their application to system performance and security.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Directory Services (DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and Certificate Services).
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to solve technical challenges.
- DoD 8570 Compliant IAT Level II Certification.
- Completion of Compute Environment Training.
- TS/SCI Security Clearance
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with IT project management methodologies.
- Familiarity with collaboration software, email services, and cloud technologies.
- Experience using vulnerability and compliance tools such as ACAS, SCAP, and STIG.
- Proficiency in administering Linux or UNIX systems.
- Knowledge of ITIL service standards.
- Programming knowledge in languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
Certifications
- Required: DoD 8570 Compliant IAT Level II Certification.
- Completion of Compute Environment Training.
