The Junior System Administrator will provide hands-on support for the administration of cyber toolsets and server systems across multiple classification domains. The role involves maintaining system integrity and security, providing tiered support for operational systems, and assisting in problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution. The candidate will configure and manage Windows, UNIX, and Linux operating systems, ensuring operational excellence in a mission-critical environment.

Role Overview
The Junior System Administrator will provide hands-on support for the administration of cyber toolsets and server systems across multiple classification domains. The role involves maintaining system integrity and security, providing tiered support for operational systems, and assisting in problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution. The candidate will configure and manage Windows, UNIX, and Linux operating systems, ensuring operational excellence in a mission-critical environment.
Primary Duties
- Perform systems administration of cyber toolsets and server systems connected to networks across multiple classification domains.
- Provide Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 support for problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution of system issues.
- Maintain the integrity and security of cross-domain system infrastructure.
- Configure and manage Windows, UNIX, and Linux operating systems, including installing and patching software.
- Support day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for all client, server, storage, and network devices.
- Analyze problem areas and identify opportunities for improvement within mission-critical networks.
- Combine technical knowledge and communication skills to interpret metrics and articulate their significance.
- Work individually and as part of a team while obtaining guidance from senior technicians or managers.
Required Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam.
- 2+ years of experience as a system administrator.
- Experience operating and maintaining Microsoft Windows and Linux servers, including operating systems.
- Experience installing and configuring devices, applications, and security tools.
- Education:
- High school diploma or GED with 4+ years of relevant professional work experience, OR
- Associate's degree with 2+ years of relevant professional work experience, OR
- Bachelor's degree with 1+ years of relevant professional work experience.
- DoD 8570.01-M Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level II Certification (e.g., Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, GSEC, SSCP, CySA+, GICSP, or CND).
- Ability to obtain a DoD 8570.01-M Cybersecurity Service Provider (CSSP) - Infrastructure Support certification (e.g., CEH, CySA+, GICSP, SSCP, CHFI, CFR, Cloud+, or CND) within 30 days of hire.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience as a network administrator or systems engineer.
- Experience scripting with PowerShell or BASH command-line interfaces.
- Experience managing Windows policies via Active Directory.
- Knowledge of different layers of the technology stack, including networks, application frameworks, database systems, and vendor solutions.
Certifications
- DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II Certification required.
- Ability to obtain a DoD 8570.01-M CSSP - Infrastructure Support certification within 30 days of hire.
