Job Summary: The Cloud Infrastructure Engineer will work with a team of software and IT engineers to build high-performance, cloud-based solutions.
Required Qualifications:
- BA/BS in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field required.
- 8+ years of hands-on experience in a specific technology practice (Infrastructure, Network, Storage, Servers, Security, Windows, Linux, etc.) for both on-premise and cloud resources.
- 2+ years of network and operating system experience.
- 2+ years experience in container management technologies like OpenShift, AKS, EKS, Rancher, or Docker.
- Experience using a source code repository such as Git, BitBucket, Mercurial, or Subversion.
- Experience using a defect management system such as Jira, Bugzilla or Fogbugz.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies.
Responsibilities:
- Support the development of open architectures and applications, infrastructure, and cloud platforms to ensure they are best suited for Cloud deployment and consumption.
- Support the adoption of Cloud best practices and supporting technologies to enable such capabilities as DevSecOps, Big Data/Analytics, AI, and Micro-Services.
- Support the architecture, design, development, troubleshooting, and implementation of cloud solutions
- Work closely with the Information Technology Security team to ensure the applications and solutions designed and deployed are secure and compliant.
- Effectively Interface with Customer personnel at varying organizational levels
- Must be self-motivated and expected to work independently with minimal supervision
- Report status on tasks and assignments
- Must be able to generate preliminary and detailed designs as required for enhancements or modifications to existing designs, applying current industry design concepts and utilizing basic technical writing skills.
- Must perform effectively as part of a project "team".
- Experience with several of the following tools Gitlab, SonarQube, Nexus, Twistlock/Prisma Cloud, Docker, Kubernetes (Rancher, Openshift, K3S), Linux, AWS/Azure/GCP, and Terraform.
