Kadiak, LLC, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a Quality Assurance Analyst to support Kadiak and our government customer in the Metro DC area. This position requires the candidate to be able to obtain a Public Trust. This position is for a Future New Business Opportunity.

Kadiak LLC, a subsidiary of Koniag Government Services, is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance Analyst to join our team. This role is responsible for ensuring that all functional components of projects adhere to defined processes and conform to contractual requirements. The Quality Assurance Analyst will provide independent assessments, report findings, and recommend process optimization methods to project staff, management, and customers.

Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:
The Quality Assurance Analyst will be responsible for:

  • Verify that each functional component of assigned projects follows a defined process, ensuring conformance with contractual requirements and industry best practices.
  • Conduct thorough reviews and audits of project development processes, documenting findings, and identifying areas for improvement or non-conformance.
  • Provide independent assessments on how the project's development process is being implemented relative to the defined process, highlighting deviations or opportunities for optimization.
  • Prepare and present detailed reports on quality assurance findings, recommendations, and process compliance to project staff, line management, and customers as appropriate.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, developers, and subject matter experts, to ensure a consistent understanding and implementation of quality assurance processes.
  • Develop and implement quality assurance plans, procedures, and checklists to streamline the review and audit processes.
  • Participate in project meetings and discussions, providing insights and recommendations to enhance process efficiency and adherence to quality standards.
  • Stay up to date with the latest quality assurance methodologies, tools, and industry best practices, and recommend their adoption when appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of quality assurance activities, findings, and resolutions.
  • Foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement within the organization.

Requirements:
Education:

  • Four-year college degree (preferred but not required), preferably in a health or science-related field.
  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust

Work Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Education and experience can be combined to satisfy the requirement.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in quality assurance, process improvement, or a related field, preferably in a project-based or regulated environment.
  • In-depth understanding of quality assurance principles, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify process gaps, root causes, and implement corrective actions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate documentation and records.
  • Proficient in using quality assurance tools, software, and applications.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

Desired Skills and Competencies:
  • Experience in a government or regulated environment, with knowledge of relevant quality assurance regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies.
  • Knowledge of risk management and mitigation strategies.
  • Understanding of process improvement methodologies, such as Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.
  • Ability to interpret and apply contractual requirements and industry standards.

Working Environment & Conditions
This job operates in a professional office environment and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

This position is primarily indoors, consistent with a standard office position and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. The incumbent is required to stand, walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The workload may require the incumbent to sit for extended periods of time. The incumbent must be able to read, do simple math calculations and withstand moderate amounts of stress.

The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
