Mid-Level Physicist - Secret
KBR is seeking a Mid-Level Physicist to join our team in Kihei, HI.
Responsibilities:
- Develops technology and solve problems in areas such as image reconstruction, adaptive optics, lasers, imaging through turbulence.
- Plans and conducts scientific experiments and studies to test system performance.
- Performs mathematical calculations to analyze sensor data.
- Develops computer software to analyze and model data.
- Supports experiments and testing of novel Space Domain Awareness capabilities.
Required Qualifications:
- B.S. in STEM or related field
- Minimum of 8 years' experience in imaging system design, operation, maintenance and control of adaptive optics and wavefront sensing systems,
- Demonstrated experience in design, assembly, troubleshooting and maintenance of optical and laser systems
- Broad background in physical sciences
- Familiarity with the USAF and US Space Force space control/space domain awareness mission area
- Master's degree in electrical optics or related field
Preferred Qualifications:
- PhD in electrical optics or related field
