Mid-Level Electrical Engineer
KBR is seeking an Mid-Level Electrical Engineer to join our team in Kihei, HI
Responsibilities:
- Design, operate, and maintain custom and COTS electrical systems for sensors, telescopes, lasers, adaptive optics and ancillary observatory equipment.
- Prepare and maintain electrical systems specifications and CAD drawings.
- Design and build custom telescope and imaging systems, including adaptive optics, lasers, mount control, system controls and atmospheric compensation capabilities.
- Oversee installation and testing of electrical equipment to confirm compliance with customer requirements.
- Identify and resolve problems with existing systems.
- Evaluate customer requirements for performance, reliability and capability and assist in the development of novel solutions.
- Monitor customer needs and determine requirements and possible solutions.
Minimum Qualifications:
- BS Electrical Engineering or related field
- Experience with Controls Engineering
- 5-8 years' experience
