Network/Systems Training and Curriculum Developer

Job Description:

Responsibilities

The CD shall train approved government, contracted, and deploying personnel on current software and hardware technologies used by AFCENT to include the AFCENT enterprise architecture. The CD's full time duty location will be onsite at Shaw AFB, SC but travel may be required to countries within the CENTCOM Area of Operations.

Job duties:

  • Develop training lesson plans and accompanying educational materials in support of two formal training courses.

  • Manage the government provided training room/facility, and associated lab, including the training servers and student PCs.

  • Identify necessary equipment and materials necessary to accomplish/meet the training objectives. Maintain an automated scheduling database for the training lab.

  • Provide sourcing, scheduling, and documenting Contractor shall be required to conduct training. The trainer will develop new curriculum to meet current and future training requirements from scratch.

  • Provide oversight of other training managers to include scheduling their work to support approved training requirements.

  • Develop training plans, training aids, and training records for IT

  • Primary duties include training deploying personnel, writing lesson plans, and training material, maintaining the training facility and associated lab equipment to include setup and tear down for each class, maintaining web-based scheduling and training materials, and teaching reoccurring training courses to government personnel and other

  • Establish training programs to meet local knowledge and skill requirements and to enhance professional awareness of the technologies utilized in A6 Operations as well as at deployed AFCENT locations.

  • Contractor shall develop portable training materials to be delivered over multiple mediums, including traditional classroom, web-based, and portable/removable media- based training


Qualifications

  • B.S. in related field AND 5 or more years relevant experience; or 7 or more years relevant experience AND Firewall and Unix/Linux experience.

  • CCNP, VCTA, Trainer certification (Microsoft, Cisco or military equivalent), and ITIL Foundation)

  • Active Secret clearance required.
